went to the edible book show at woodland pattern book center this past weekend. it was a hoot. my son enjoyed it greatly. he got to vote and eat a lot of sweet books. what's not to love? he was very inspired and plans on making an edible book of his own soon. me too.

woodland pattern is a super hot independent book store in my 'hood in milwaukee, wi. it is always fostering and featuring creative endeavors of all types (but mostly those having to do with words). one of my other yearly favorites it the poetry marathon that happens every january. anybody who wants to can take the mike for 5-10 minutes and read their own poetry or someone else's. this results in a real cast of characters and a fascinating good time. worth checking out people.
